Those who are interested in trekking and adventure know that the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in the world after the Everest Base Camp Trek. But in the Annapurna region itself there are various types of trekking trails, and the Annapurna Base Camp trekking is one of them. The name says that the trekking to Annapurna Base Camp heads to the base of Mount Annapurna, but let me introduce you to the range of Annapurna. In the Annapurna range, there are four Annapurnas named Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna II (7937 m), Annapurna III, Annapurna IV and others like Gangapurna, Tilicho, etc.

Which base camp is the real Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

The real Annapurna Base Camp (ABC trekking) trek is specifically associated with Annapurna I. Annapurna I is the highest peak in the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, standing at 8,091 meters (26,545 feet). The base camp for this peak is located at an altitude of 4,130 meters (13,549 feet) and is the main destination for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Base Camp trek.

Why the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is moderate in difficulty, so this trek is relevant for those who have less experience in high-altitude trekking.  But if you have already visited Annapurna Base Camp Trek or want to challenge yourself with a long camp, then check out the Annapurna Circuit Trek.

You can book your trek with Master Himalaya for a smooth and well-supported journey to Annapurna Base Camp, with experienced guides, comfortable stays, and a thoughtfully planned itinerary to help you enjoy the experience with confidence.
