Detailed Itinerary

1

Day 1:

Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (937m)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hotel
  • Elevation: 937m

Upon your arrival in Tumlingtar, our trekking adventure begins with a 5-hour trek to Kartike. The trail descends to the Arun River and crosses it via a suspension bridge to reach Bheteni Village, passing through settlements of Rai, Chhetri, and Brahmin communities. The journey introduces us to the biodiversity and local cultures, and we overnight at Kartike.

Day 2:

Trek from Kartike Ghat to Gothe (6 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge

Starting after breakfast, the trek progresses through rice fields and villages like Baluwa, Benshi, and Danda. Descending to Gothe Bazaar via Mardua, we encounter Gurung and Rai communities. The day concludes with an overnight stay at Gothe Bazaar.

Day 3:

Trek from Gothe Bazaar to Phedi (1680m) (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today's trail winds through villages, rice fields, and a suspension bridge over Irkhuwa Khola. Passing through Phedi village in Inkhuwa Valley, we reach Phedi, known for its old Buddhist monastery. The day concludes with an overnight stay at Phedi.

Day 4:

Trek from Phedi to Gurase (2880m) (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge
  • Elevation: 2880m

Early morning, we trek through stone staircases and rhododendron forests, passing Bebate village to reach Gurase. Known for the best barley production, Gurase offers a unique cultural experience, and we stay overnight at a lodge.

Day 5:

Trek from Gurase to Sanam (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge

A gradual ascent leads us through forests to Salpa Pokhari, then across Salpa Pass to reach the beautiful Sherpa village of Sanam. The day's trek presents terraced landscapes and concludes with an overnight stay at Sanam.

Day 6:

Trek from Sanam to Bung (1900m) (7 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge
  • Elevation: 1900m

After breakfast, the trek continues through oak and pine forests, crossing Hongu Khola to reach Bung Village. Bung is known for its paper factory and monastery, offering cultural insights. We stay overnight at a lodge in Bung.

Day 7:

Trek from Bung to Gaikharka (6 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge

Trekking through Rai villages, we visit Khiraule Gompa and enter the Bung valley. Descending through a bamboo forest, we reach Gaikharka and stay overnight at a lodge.

Day 8:

Trek from Gaikharka to Vasme (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge

Starting through a forest, the trail crosses Hinku Khola to reach Sibjue Valley. Climbing Pangum La pass offers a panoramic view of Mera Peak. We stay overnight at a lodge in Vasme.

Day 9:

Trek from Vasme to Pangum (2850m) (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge
  • Elevation: 2850m

An easy downhill walk leads from Pangum Pass to Pangum Gompa, an ancient monastery with rare Buddhist scripts. A lodge provides our accommodation, and we stay overnight in Pangum.

Day 10:

Free day at Pangum

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge

A free day allows exploration of the village and nearby viewpoints. Engage with the local community and relish the serene atmosphere. We stay overnight at the lodge in Pangum.

Day 11:

Trek from Pangum to Kharikhola (7 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge
  • Elevation: 2040m

Starting early, we trek from Pangum towards Kari La Pass, gradually ascending to the pass and descending to Paiyan. The trail then leads to Kharikhola, where we stay overnight at a lodge.

Day 12:

Trek from Kharikhola to Taksindu (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge
  • Elevation: 2930m

Crossing Dudhkosi River and ascending through an alpine forest, we visit a Buddhist gompa before reaching Taksindu. The day's trek offers cultural encounters and concludes with an overnight stay at a lodge.

DAy 13:

Trek from Taksindu to Phaplu/Salleri (5 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Passing through a dense forest, the trek provides views of Mt. Everest. We pass Ringmo village before arriving at Salleri. Overnight accommodation is provided at a lodge.

Day 14 :

Drive from Phaplu/Salleri to Kathmandu (9 hrs)

  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Enjoy scenic views during a 9-hour drive back to Kathmandu, passing mountains, hills, rivers, and villages.
