The Manaslu Circuit Trek takes you around the eighth-highest peak in the world, Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters), providing trekkers with an off-the-beaten-path experience. The journey winds through remote villages, lush forests, terraced fields, and rugged terrain, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, including Manaslu itself. Highlights of this trek include crossing the challenging Larkya La Pass (5,106 meters), exploring ancient Buddhist monasteries such as Pungen Gompa, and immersing oneself in the rich cultural heritage of the region, encountering ethnic Gurung and Tibetan communities along the way.

On the other hand, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is renowned for its diverse landscapes, from subtropical forests to arid high-altitude deserts, as it circumnavigates the Annapurna Massif. Trekkers are treated to panoramic views of some of the world's highest peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091 meters) and Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters). The journey takes you through charming villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups such as Gurungs, Magars, and Thakalis, where you can experience warm hospitality and authentic local culture. The Annapurna Circuit Trek highlights include crossing the iconic Thorong La Pass (5,416 meters), visiting the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath Temple, and soaking in natural hot springs at Tatopani.

Therefore this is a package designed by combining two adventures, this trek will be a little more challenging than one circuit.

Detailed Itinerary

1

Day 1:

Kathmandu to Maccha Khola (Drive)

Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Maccha Khola, passing through rural villages and green hillsides. The journey offers views of Mt. Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal. Maccha Khola is a village settlement surrounded by green hills and the Moti Khola River.

Day 2:

Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m) Duration: 6-7 hours

Start trekking after breakfast, Today's trek from Machha Khola to Jagat is challenging with ups and downs. We'll pass through Khorla Besi, Tatopani's natural hot spring, and a small forest on our way to Jagat.

Day 3:

Jagat to Deng (1804m) Duration: 6-7 hours

After breakfast, head towards Deng with around 7 hours of walking. Descend towards the river through stone steps, ascend a terraced hillside Saguleri, and climb to Deng. Enjoy impressive views of Singrin Himal along the way. Overnight in Deng.

Day 4:

Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,600m)

Cross Budhi Gandaki from Deng, climb Rana at 1910m, and head west up the Budhi Gandaki valley. Pass through Prok village, enjoying the forest and mani walls. Reach Namrung with a good viewpoint for Siring and Ganesh Himal. Overnight in Namrung.

Day 5:

Namrung to Sama Gaun (3,530m)

Climb steadily, passing through forests and reaching Lihi. Enjoy views of Simnang Himal and Ganesh Himal. Pass through Sho, Lho, and Shyla villages before reaching Sama village. Explore the famous Ribung Gomba and admire the surrounding high mountains. Overnight in Samagaun.

Day 6:

Acclimatization Day at Samagaun

Take another day for acclimatization. Optionally, take a day trip to the Tibet border to see Tibet and the Samdo Glacier

Day 7:

Trek from Sama Gaun to Samdo

Descend to the Budhi Gandaki River, cross the wooden bridge, and witness the Larkya glacier. Reach Samdo and enjoy views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 8:

Samdo to Dharmasala (4,460m) Duration: 4-5 hours

Trek through icy streams, Larke Bazaar, and ascend towards Dharmasala. Pass through monasteries, and mani walls, and enjoy views of the Larkya Glacier.

Day 9:

Dharmasha to Bimtang (3,720m) Via Larkya la Pass (5,106m) Duration: 7-9 hours.

Trek through challenging terrain to Larkya La Pass, offering views of Cho Danda, Larkya Peak, and the four frozen lakes. Descend to Bimthang, enjoying views of Himling Himal, Cheo Himal, Bouddha Himal, Kang Guru, Annapurna II, and Mt. Manaslu.

Day 10:

Trek Bimtang to Dharapani (1,960m)

Descend through lush green forests, cross Dudh Khola, pass through Karche village, and reach Dharapani. Notice signs of agriculture and tilled fields.

Day 11:

Trek to Chame (2,710m)

Joining the Annapurna Circuit Trail. Pass through diverse landscapes, including pine and oak forests, with a stunning view, reaching the charming village of Chame for the night

Day 12:

Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m)

Starting with a sunrise over Lamjung Himal, we begin our journey from Chame, passing terraced fields and apple orchards. After a 3-hour journey, we reach Pisang, where we visit the local monastery in the evening.

Day 13:

Trek to Manang (3,540m)

After breakfast, we trek from Pisang to Manang through fragrant pine forests enjoying views of the Manang Valley, Tilicho Peak, and Annapurna III. Crossing a wooden bridge, we enter Mungji village and take the upper trail to Ngawal, reaching Manang with stunning views of Annapurna and Gangapurna peaks.

Day 14:

Acclimatization day in Manang

Explore the Himalayan Rescue Association, Bhojo Gumba, or take a short hike to Gangapurna Lake or Milarepa Cave. Optionally, embark on a strenuous day hike from Manang to Ice Lake for acclimatization.

Day 15:

Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka

Today marks a significant trek to Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, starting early for the challenging uphill climb from Manang. The pass reveals breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and the Kaligandaki Valley. After capturing memories, we descend to Muktinath, a revered pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.

Day 16:

Trek From Yak Kharka to thoromg phedi

After we eat our yummy breakfast, we'll begin our trip. We're going to Thorong Phedi . First, we'll climb up to a ridge, then go down and cross a bridge made of either suspension cables or wood. After that, we'll hike up the mountain trail, follow a narrow path across a slope, and go down to Phedi.

Day 17:

Trek to Muktinath

After enjoying nature and relaxing for a bit, we'll keep trekking. We'll go downhill until we reach Phedi. We'll take a break there for lunch. Then, we'll keep trekking downhill, cross a suspension bridge, and finally arrive at Muktinath. We'll spend the night at a lodge there.

Day 18:

Drive From Muktinath to pokhara.

Early morning Drive from Muktilnath to Pokhara (8 hrs). Explore Pokhara's landmarks: Davis Falls, Mahendra Gufa, Gupteshwor cave, Bindabasini temple and International Mountain Museum. Enjoy boating on Phewa Lake, and visit Tal Barahi Temple.

Day 19:

Drive back to Kathmandu

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic landscapes, rivers, villages, and Himalayan views along the way. Explore Thamel market for souvenirs, followed by a delightful Nepali dinner with a cultural program at a local Nepali restaurant in the evening.

  • Three full board meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) are included during the trek, ensuring that trekkers are well-nourished throughout their journey.
  •  Manaslu Restricted Area permit

  •  Local bus transportation is provided from Kathmandu to Motikhola and deluxe bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

  •  Twin/ Double sharing basis 3* Standard Category Accommodations in Kathmandu  (2 nights) and Pokhara (1 night)
  •  An experienced and knowledgeable trekking guide is included in the package. This includes the guide's salary, food, accommodation, transportation, and insurance, ensuring the safety and guidance of trekkers.
  •  Twin-sharing private rooms are provided throughout the trek, offering a comfortable and personal space for trekkers.  
  •  Arrangement of emergency helicopter services is included. The cost of the helicopter service will be covered by the traveler's travel insurance company.
  •  A farewell dinner is organized, providing trekkers with a chance to reflect on their journey and celebrate the completion of the trek.
  • Trekkers receive an Adventure Certificate from Master Himalaya Trek upon completing the trek.
     
What is Excluded in Manaslu and Annapurna circuit Cost?
  • Meals and Accommodation in Kathmandu: Lunch and dinner expenses while in Kathmandu and Pokhara are not included.
  • Travelers are responsible for arranging their travel insurance. This insurance should cover emergency medical evacuation, trip cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
  •  Bar bills, personal expenses such as phone calls, laundry service, battery recharge, the purchase of bottled water, hot water, and shower facilities are not included in the package and are considered personal expenses. Trekkers should budget accordingly.
  •  Tips: Tips for your guide, porter, and driver are expected and not included.
  •  Beverages and Snacks: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, soups, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cocoa, mineral water, extra food, and cold/hot drinks during the trek are not included.
  •  For those opting for private transportation, a private jeep from Kathmandu to Sotikhola costs $250 per way. This provides a more personalized and convenient mode of transportation.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

  1. For the final booking confirmation 20% deposit needs to be paid  and the rest 80% needs to be paid before the start of the trek after arrival in Kathmandu
  2. If you have to cancel 7 days before the trek the 20% deposit won't be refunded as the charge of your permit and other required documents for the trek is non-refundable and non-transferable. 
  3. In case of an incomplete trek due to any circumstances the money paid is non-refundable.
