The Everest Base Camp Trek is a famous journey to the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest, located in Nepal's Himalaya mountains. Our 11-day trek is designed for those with busy schedules who still want to experience the thrill of reaching the base of Everest.

During this trek, you'll reach an altitude of 5364 meters at Kala Patthar, which is both challenging and adventurous. While we also offer longer treks of 14 and 12 days to Everest Base Camp, this shorter option is more adventurous and provides a unique opportunity to experience the magnificence of Everest.

To trek in this itinerary, you need to be physically and mentally fit. It demands stamina and determination as there are few breaks along the way. However, the stunning scenery along the trek, including views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam among others, makes the challenges worthwhile.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp is an incredibly thrilling and beautiful adventure in the Nepalese Himalayas. You'll journey through lush valleys and remote Sherpa villages, surrounded by snow-capped peaks that will leave you spellbound.

Detailed Itinerary

1

Day 1:

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, and rest for a day.

Arrive in Kathmandu and rest for the day to recover from your journey after having a welcome dinner with the Master Himalaya team. You can explore some of the city's cultural sites if you have the energy.

Day 2:

Exciting flight from Kathmandu to Lukla- 30 mins, trek from Lukla to Phakding(2650m).

The adventure begins with a short exhilarating flight from Kathmandu to Lukla lasting approximately 35 minutes. Lukla serves as the gateway to trekking and expeditions. Upon landing in Lukla, the trekking crew warmly welcomes the participants. After breakfast, the journey to Phakding begins with a descent through lush forests, offering a captivating immersion into nature's beauty. Reach Phakding, a charming village, for a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3:

Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m) from Phakding, via Monjo ( Trek hours : 5-6 hrs).

The trail leads you along the Dudh Koshi River, through Sherpa villages, and across suspension bridges. As you ascend, catch breathtaking views of Thamserku, Khumung Peak, and more. Pass through the Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint, and after a lunch stop at Monjo, continue to the vibrant hub of the Khumbu region - Namche Bazaar.

Day 4:

Trek to Tengboche (3855m) via villages like Khunde, Khumjung ( Trek hours : 5-6hrs).

Trek from Namche to Tengboche, passing through beautiful villages like Khumjung. Tengboche is also known for its spiritual significance. You can find the largest monastery (Gompa) in the Khumbu region and Lama doing their spiritual rituals. If you are interested you can get involved as well.

Day 5:

Trek to Dingboche (4410m) from Tengboche ( Trek hours : 5-6hrs).

Continue your trek to Dingboche, trekkers are gradually gaining altitude as you go further in the trek. You can find a kilometer of stone walls built using stones of different sizes covering the entire valley Imja.

Day 6:

Trek to Lobuche (4940m) from Dingboche ( Trek hours : 4 hrs).

As you trek, witness the Tabuchi and Arakam peaks. Pass through Thukla and ascend to Dughla Pass. Reach Lobuche, surrounded by hills and valleys. Getting closer to the Everest Base Camp. Lobuche is generally the name of a peak where there are two main peaks Lobuche east and Lobuche west.

Day 7:

Trek to Everest Base Camp ( 5364m) and trek back to Gorak Shep (5164m) ( Trek hours : 5-6hrs).

You reach in the lap of world tallest mountain Everest Base Camp and then trek back to Gorak Shep. This might be a challenging day due to the high altitude.

Day 8:

Hike to Kala Patthar viewpoint (5555m) and trek to Pheriche (4250m) via Gorak Shep ( Trek hours : 6-7hrs).

Start with a hike to Kala Patthar from Gorekshep for breathtaking views of Mount Everest and Trek to Pheriche. Now you are trekking down it gets easier, you can cover a long distance in a short time.

Day 9:

Trek from Pheriche (4,250m ) to Namche. ( Trek hours : 7-8hrs).

Trek back to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps.

Day 10:

Trek from Namche to Lukla.

You will continue your trek to Lukla. You see the worlds most dangerous Airport of all time. Celebrating the memories of your Everest journey.

Day 11:

Fly back to Kathmandu (14000m) from Lukla.

Take a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Leaving your foot prints and taking all the memories with you. You can share your experience with Master Himalaya team enjoying your farewell dinner.

What is Excluded in EBC Trek

  • Meals in Kathmandu: Lunch and dinner expenses while in Kathmandu are not included.
  • Nepal Entry Visa: Obtain your Nepal entry visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The fee for a 15-day visa is $25 USD.
  • Travel and Medical Insurance: Ensure you have personal travel and medical insurance coverage.
  • International Airfare: International flight costs to and from Nepal are not covered in the package.
  • Personal Expenses: Additional personal expenses are excluded from the package.
  • Beverages and Snacks: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, soups, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cocoa, mineral water, extra food, and cold/hot drinks during the trek are not included.
  • Desserts and Sweets: Indulge in desserts and sweet treats like chocolate, cake, pie, and pudding at your discretion.
